Seneca College has partnered with the Brampton Fire & Emergency Services (BFES) to offer students and graduates from equity-deserving groups a more direct pathway to a career in firefighting. Graduates of Seneca’s Firefighter, Pre-Service Education and Training certificate program will have recruitment pathways to positions with BFES. Seneca will also promote career opportunities with BFES and provide individual guidance to students and graduates going through the application process. “Seneca is proud to work with BFES to help remove barriers for students and build an equitable workforce,” said Seneca Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering Technology Ranjan Bhattacharya.
