Stabbing at NIC leaves two injured

A stabbing at North Island College’s residence on Wednesday night has left two victims injured. The Comox Valley RCMP says that a 21-year-old man has been arrested, and that the motive for the stabbing remains under investigation. “In response to the assault in tul’al’txw, NIC’s student housing, the college’s primary focus is on the well-being of students and the college community,” said NIC VP, Students and Community Engagement Kelly Shopland. NIC is offering on-site counselling to students and providing additional support information for campus community members.
