St Thomas University has launched two programs: A major in Digital Media and Creative Arts and a Certificate in Digital and Media Literacy. Students completing the interdisciplinary major will learn about digital platforms and their relationships to the arts and society, with programming drawing from departments such as Journalism, Fine Arts, Human Rights, and Native Studies. The program includes hands-on experience in the form of internships and other activities. The Certificate in Digital and Media Literacy, which students in the major can also take, provides workshops and experiential learning opportunities so that they can apply their understanding of digital and media literacy in real-world settings.
