Student Housing NS housing purchase brings affordable housing to Acadia community

News

Non-profit Student Housing Nova Scotia recently purchased a five-storey building in Wolfville, which will be used to provide affordable housing to the Acadia University community in Wolfville. The building is located a ten-minute walk away from the university and contains 46 units. Acadia Students’ Union President Emma Boles explained that finding affordable housing challenging in the Wolfville area, and that the purchase of the building will reduce pressure on students. Though status as a postsecondary student is not required to rent in the building, student applicants will be given priority.
