Karen MacGregor of University World News has published a new article highlighting ways that faculty members can support sustainability efforts. Drawing on the results of the Sustainability Literacy Test, MacGregor discusses the varied attitudes and perspectives that faculty bring to the topic, their training and learning needs, and the initiatives that faculty are already undertaking at their institutions. MacGregor highlights several ways that faculty can support sustainability, including working together on interdisciplinary sustainability projects; engaging in open dialogue to tackle resistance and polarization; and sharing success stories and case studies.
