TMU announces new name for photography museum, releases shortlist for sports team name, mascot

Toronto Metropolitan University is continuing to announce new names for associated and sub-brands. The photography museum will now be known as The Image Centre. The Image Centre’s new name reflects the centre’s commitment to image and will be implemented immediately across all platforms where possible, and gradually on platforms that require a more gradual approach. The centre’s mission, vision, and graphic identity will remain the same as before. TMU is also considering a new sports team name and mascot, and has provided a shortlist of team names such as “The Bold,” “The Meteors,” or “The Towers,” as well as potential mascots such as a bee, meteor, squirrel, or tower. TMU aims to have a new team name and mascot in place this fall. The Star (Acct. Req.)| Daily Hive| The Image Centre Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
