Trent Symons closes for the week after water main break

Trent University’s Symons Campus will be closed for the remainder of the week following a water main break. The university says that there are no imminent risks to safety, but the lack of water prevents the use of any campus buildings for non-essential purposes. Students living on campus were told to return home if they were able and staff were told to work remotely if possible. Trent is also providing support to affected students unable to find alternate accommodations. Regular operations are expected to resume on September 28th.
