The Thompson Rivers University Board of Governors has postponed making a decision on whether to close its Williams Lake campus, according to Castanet. During a recent meeting, the board unanimously approved a community engagement plan which will result in the creation of a report of potential options for the board. The report would be completed by March 2027. “This will allow further engagement with senate and completion of consultation activities,” explained TRU President Dr Airini. TRU Chief of Staff to the President Mike Henry added that the university plans to allow the community to provide input on potential options outlined in the report.
