UAlberta launches Regenerative Medicine Hub

News

The University of Alberta’s College of Health Sciences recently launched the Regenerative Medicine Hub. This interdisciplinary, collaborative community is focused on transforming health care through regenerative medicine that facilitates the development of treatments that address the causes of medical issues. The hub will focus on interdisciplinary integration, network development and training, and translation and commercial acceleration. It will advance breakthroughs by bringing together experts in fields such as biomedical and clinical science, nursing, and policy. “This is a critical need in the [broader] Alberta ecosystem; we have all the bits that are necessary to have a fully functional ecosystem, but we don’t always talk to each other,” said UAlberta Associate Professor Dr Anastassia Voronova.
