UAlberta, SVG Ventures| THRIVE partner to support agri-food innovation, competition

The University of Alberta and SVG Ventures| THRIVE have partnered to support innovation and competition in Alberta’s agriculture and food sectors. The partnership will see THRIVE working with UAlberta to support the agri-food industry in accelerating innovation and effectively adopting technology to decrease costs and increase revenues. THRIVE will provide Studio and Academy programs so that UAlberta researchers, entrepreneurs, and companies can test their ideas, and an Accelerator program to fund and provide resources to build market strategy and global connections. “Working with THRIVE will accelerate these innovations coming out of the U of A, connect emerging businesses with funding and support, and get new ventures into the market,” said UAlberta VP (Research and Innovation) Aminah Robinson Fayek.
