The University of Calgary School of Public Policy has publicly apologized for a recent event invitation. The invitation to the book event featured several questions, including “Will Canada’s Aboriginal problem ever find resolution.” The question wording drew criticisms and calls for an apology from academics both at and beyond UCalgary. The Calgary Herald reports that the school clarified the event language, and then issued an apology on Twitter and updated the event invitation language. The university stated that the original wording is not reflective of the institution’s values and strategy.
