The University College of the North and Cégep à L’Assomption have both announced new programs to support their learning communities. UCN will offer Health Care Aide certificate programs in Swan River, The Pas, and Thompson. The 20-week programs will provide a combination of theory and clinical instruction, preparing students to enter the healthcare system and address critical labour gaps in northern Manitoba. Cégep à L’Assomption has launched a new Techniques d’administration et de gestion program, which will provide students with hands-on training and learning opportunities in the fields of marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting, and finance. This program replaces the cégep’s former program in Techniques de comptabilité et de gestion.
