The University College of the North will be delivering a new Surveyor Assistant program at its Northern Manitoba Mining Academy. Students in the program will take part in work-integrated learning at active mine sites to prepare them to move into employment. “By providing hands-on training and pathways into employment, we are helping learners gain the confidence, knowledge and experience they need to succeed while supporting the growing needs of employers across the North,” said UCN AVP, Community & Industry Solutions Jamie Grant.
