The University of Manitoba and Red River College Polytechnic are among the beneficiaries of a $22.8M federal investment into the Manitoba economy. Through the Regional Innovations Ecosystem investment, UManitoba received $2.4M to accelerate MB’s growth in value-added agriculture and develop the protein cluster, while RRC Polytechnic’s Advanced Composites Development Centre received $756K for improvements and industrialization capabilities. UManitoba also received $2.1M through the Aerospace Regional Recovery Initiative to establish a controlled, physically separated facility focused on research and skills training for unmanned aerial vehicles.
