UOF, UQÀM, ACUFC meet to advance research in France across Canada

The Université de l’Ontario français–in collaboration with the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Association des collèges et universités de la francophonie canadienne (ACUFC)–recently organized a strategic meeting to discuss the advancement of research in French throughout the country. In conversation with UQuébec representatives and leaders from postsecondary research services, the attendees compiled a set of recommendations for the Government of Canada and Government of Québec. Among their recommendations, the attendees called for the governments to finance collaboration between French-speaking postsecondary institutions’ research services to improve resource sharing, the exchange of best practices, and promotion of French-language research. They also called for funding to support Canadian Francophone scientific journals.
