UoGuelph begins construction on new student housing facility

The University of Guelph has broken ground on a new on-campus student residence that will offer 1,250 beds. The new facility will primarily house first-year undergraduate students. It will include a 500-seat dining hall, study and community spaces, and outdoor courtyards. “We’re building more than a place for students to live,” said UoGuelph President Dr Rene Van Acker. “We’re creating a community that will be an important part of their experience at U of G, and one that will welcome generations of students in the years ahead.”
