The Ottawa Citizen reports that the closure of the University of Ottawa’s Bernadette Child Care Centre in April has left the university without an on-campus daycare. The child centre board was reportedly working with the university on a plan to relocate the daycare to another space on campus, but these discussions ended with too little time for the daycare to find another location. The university said that it has established a working group to examine childcare needs and options, provided affected students with financial assistance, and signed an agreement securing 34 off-campus childcare spaces.
