The University of Regina has established the Fedoruk Chair in Neutron Imaging. The new chair will push boundaries in nuclear medicine and accelerator-based nuclear physics. The inaugural holder of the chair will be Dr Marcella Berg, whose work focuses on the use of neutron scattering and transmission to investigate topics that can lead to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. “This is a significant opportunity for me to put my research into action,” said Berg. URegina states that the chair is supported by the University of Saskatchewan Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation.
