URegina, SK, Regina receive $7.3M for Provincial Capital Commission

The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) – a partnership that brings together the University of Regina, the Government of Saskatchewan, and the City of Regina – has received a $7.3M commitment from the province. The PCC is focused on operating and preserving the Wascana Centre and Government House. During 2022-23, the PCC will continue to offer educational programming for schools, pursue accessibility initiatives, host free events for the public, partner with other organizations on the Frost Winter Festival, and review the Wascana Centre Master Plan. “We look forward to engaging with the public on how they want to see their Wascana Centre evolve,” said PCC Executive Director Jenna Schroeder. “[I]t’s our job to make sure it will be there for all residents to enjoy, for generations to come.” SK Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
