The University of Saskatchewan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thunderchild First Nation to strengthen their relationship and collaborate on shared interests, such as mentorship, research, and supporting Indigenous youth. Under this agreement, USasks collegesparticularly the kihci-okâwîmâw askiy Knowledge Centre, College of Agriculture and Bioresources, College of Education, and School of Environment and Sustainabilitywill work together to meet the needs of the Thunderchild First Nation. This collaboration with Thunderchild First Nation is an opportunity to sharpen the focus of our work with Indigenous communities and to highlight the positive impact we can have on each other, said USask President Peter Stoicheff.
