Western University has announced its new Bachelor of Science Honours Specialization in Public Health program, which will launch this fall. This program combines information from several fields including biomedical science, statistics, and environmental health. Students enrolled in the program will benefit from a two-term capstone project with a community partner addressing a public health issue, as well as an emphasis on equity and ethics. “Students need an understanding that stretches from cells to society, and the undergraduate program is designed to give them that comprehensive foundation,” said Western Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry Interfaculty Program in Public Health Director Cheryl Currie.
