Western University has launched the Western Centre for Bioethics, which will bring together experts to study the ethical issues that cause challenges for health-care providers, policymakers, and health systems. The centre’s inaugural chair Professor Maxwell Smith said that the centre will provide undergraduate and graduate students with more opportunities to observe ethics within clinical settings and give students from different departments a place to learn about bioethics and bioethics research. “Conversing and connecting with one another stimulates new research questions and more opportunities to address them,” said Smith.
