YukonU receives funding for accelerated education pathways, expanded course offerings for ECEs

The Government of Yukon will be providing funding to Yukon University to create accelerated education pathways for early childhood educators (ECEs) and enhance ECE course offerings. Part of the funding will go toward the Professional Diploma Pathway program, which will enable ECEs who have Level 3 Equivalent to access programs at YukonU to gain full Level 3 status. Students can complete the program flexibly so that they can continue to work. YukonU will also receive funds to enhance its course offerings with a focus on rural communities. “This funding from the Governments of Canada and Yukon enables Yukon University to support greater access to early learning and childcare for all Yukon children by expanding our Early Learning and Child Care program offerings,” said YukonU President Lesley Brown.
