As academic programs focused on AI are launched across North America, CBC reporter Raechel Huizinga explores how postsecondary institutions in Atlantic Canada are responding. Huizinga discusses the programs currently under development at Dalhousie University and the University of New Brunswick, Memorial University’s AI-focused master’s degree, Holland College’s AI and Data Analytics post-graduate certificate, and the courses and micro-credential offered by New Brunswick Community College. “There’s a lot of opportunity for us to differentiate ourselves and get ahead of the curve here, not just in Nova Scotia, but across the four provinces,” said Dal Professor and AI Research Chair Frank Rudzicz.
