The Government of Alberta has announced that it is launching an expert panel to assess how AI is being adopted in postsecondary education and to identify opportunities to meet market demand for AI skills among graduates. “This panel will help guide thoughtful, responsible approaches to AI that strengthen learning environments and support the long-term success of students and institutions,” explained Panel Chair Nicole Janssen. The panel will begin its work this spring. It is expected to release its findings within nine months.
