Cégep de Valleyfield’s main campus was closed on Friday due to a police operation following an altercation that occurred on campus. The incident involved two individuals, one of whom is a cégep employee. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested a suspect, who is in hospital for treatment. In a statement, Cégep de Valleyfield advised that classes and activities were cancelled for the day, though some online continuing education courses would proceed as scheduled.
