Confederation College has received approval from the Government of Ontario to deliver the classroom training component of the Instrumentation and Control Technician apprenticeship program. With this approval, Confederation will be a Training Delivery Agent for this skilled trade and will be permitted to deliver apprenticeship training. According to Wawa News, Confederation is the second college in the province to receive this approval. “Instrumentation and control training is highly specialized and increasingly important as industry relies on advanced systems, automation, and process controls,” said Confederation Associate Dean, Trades and Apprenticeship Andrew Phillips. “Adding this apprenticeship training strengthens the College’s role in supporting employers and apprentices with the technical skills needed in today’s workforce.”
