Confederation College and Avalon Advanced Materials Inc have formalized a partnership that will support skilled workforce development. Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Confederation will work with Superior Lithium to develop workforce training, education, and career pathways to prepare workers to operate a proposed lithium refinery. Opportunities will specifically focus on Indigenous learners. “This collaboration provides an opportunity to align education and training with emerging workforce needs while helping learners develop the skills, experience, and connections necessary to pursue rewarding careers in the region,” said Confederation AVP, Workforce Development Carol Cline.
