Collège supérieur de Sherbrooke has had its permit revoked by the Government of Quebec education ministry, resulting in the college’s indefinite closure and its courses no longer being recognized. La Tribune reports that the last permit that QC issued for the college was only a year-long permit, and that it expired the day before the college closed. According to La Presse, 296 CSS students have been affected by the decision, and students from both CSS and the Collège supérieur de Montréal protested the college closures in front of CSM on Monday. The ministry of education said that the non-renewal was done after an analysis of CSS’s situation, but did not specify reasons. StudentsLa Presse and La Tribune spoke to several students who described the impact of the closures on students.
