UoGuelph embarks on initial phase of student residence project construction

The University of Guelph’s Board of Governors has approved $10M in funds to support the initial phase of construction for the institution’s 78 College Ave student residence project. The project will bring 1,250 on-campus beds to campus for first-year undergraduate students. With this approval, the initial phase is expected to begin on July 6th with topsoil removal, excavation, and underground service relocation. The building is scheduled to open in time for Fall 2029, according to Guelph Today.
